Welcome to the Macedon Ranges Wildlife Network website. We are very fortunate in the Macedon Ranges to live in such a special place amongst spectacular flora and native wildlife. However, as more people discover the region, the increase in cars and development, together with the ongoing drought, puts increased pressure on the wildlife that lives in the area. In May 2007, a group of local wildlife rescuers and carers formed the Macedon Ranges Wildlife Network. Our group is knowledgeable about community wildlife issues and we have a good working relationship with council. We are able to provide individuals and communities within the shire a local point of reference on wildlife issues. You will find information on our website about our group, about local wildlife species, about upcoming events, and about ways to live harmoniously with our amazing wildlife. We hope you enjoy your visit to our website. |
